 Welcome to the Home Page of the Friends of the Volusia County Library Center

The Friends was founded in 1968 for maintaining an association of persons interested in libraries and focusing public attention on the Daytona Beach Regional Library at City Island formerly known as the Library Center.

The Friends also are involved in stimulating the use of the Daytona Beach Library’s resources and services, as well as, encouraging and receiving gifts, endowments and bequests to the library and supporting and cooperating with the library in developing services and facilities for the community.
